What is the Role?
Dedicated to either our Moonpig, PhotoBox or Hofmann business you will be part of a brand new analytics team covering marketing, commercial, customer and site/app centric digital product analytics. Your role specifically focuses on product analytics and reports to the Head of Analytics. You will utilise the power and insight that analytics brings to unlock growth, optimise customer user journeys and ultimately improve financial performance. You will need to be super smart and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues in the product and engineering teams.

What will I be Doing?
  • Provide data-driven insight and recommendations that support decision making for Product teams and drive commercial value
  • Translate data into actionable insight: eg: drawing actionable insights and explaining in a tailored way to your audience
  • Gather and analyze data from different sources: eg: data extraction, data transformation, data manipulation
  • Be a Google Analytics power user for the business and use Google Analytics data to drive conversion rate optimisation
  • Provide end to end test & learn strategies across the product lifecycle, working with UX and research teams
  • Use Optimizely (or similar tool) to perform and measure AB / MVT tests
  • Challenge and improve existing processes and metrics
  • Review and interpret automated reporting, giving insight to the rest of the team
  • Define new automated reports required, and work with the reporting team to automate them
  • Work collaboratively with other business units to develop a common approach and share learnings and insight

Who are you?

  • Highly analytical with exceptional understanding of behavioural insight
  • Expert knowledge of conversion rate optimisation techniques
  • Excellent analytics knowledge using Google Analytics (GA) Premium for both web and apps
  • Expert knowledge of key GA modules and features such as segments, funnels, multi-channel attribution, events, cohort analysis, demographics and experiments
  • Strong understanding of tag implementation best practice
  • Knowledge of tag containers such as Google Tag Manager
  • Comfortable working with raw GA data from Google Bigquery
  • Experience of A/B split testing platforms (e.g. Optimizely) on both web and app
  • Strong understanding of UX and the principles of user-centered design
  • Strong understanding of the difference in user behaviours between mobile, desktop and tablet
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills with stakeholders and peers
  • Resourceful and independent - can work to deadlines and standards without supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Great interpersonal skills and cultural fit

What you will bring – essential skills and experience:

  • 3 years minimum in a similar product centric analytical role
  • Hands on experience with analytical tools and writing SQL
  • Minimum 2:1 Degree ideally in a numerate discipline from a top university
  • Able to work on several projects at the same time and prioritize effectively
  • Able to work efficiently and deliver projects quickly
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good general business acumen (preferable experience in data-rich analysis-driven organizations)
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with peers locally and internationally
  • Creative, proactive and eager to learn about Moonpig, our customers and their behaviours

What you will bring – desirable skills and experience, but not essential:

  • Knowledge of Qlik, Adobe Campaign (Neolane), DMPs, and other marketing and analytics technology
  • Hands on Experience with Python and R
  • Understanding of digital marketing analytics and the broader concepts of marketing automation, databases and the campaign development and measurement processes, including attribution modelling
